<p>The team plans their golf day tomorrow! Teams, rules, and what’s at stake. Tom Tate told the ABC to “F off” in a press conference, so the team air out their own grievances, and invite the Gold Coast to share their own “F off’s!” Tomorrow is the day of the work retreat, which will be Leisel, Liam and Spida’s first trip away together. Leisel tells the most amazing story about an ex-boyfriend, who she went to New York with after a month of dating. In his house, there was a locked door that he said was messy storage. It wasn’t until their trip that she discovered it was actually a door to his kids’ bedroom! Kids she had no idea about! Spida is back from the USA and has recorded a USA Street Talk to see how well the Americans know us! Not well, it turns out…but Leisel Jones fame knows no bounds! Tom Tate’s tall Trump tale?
<p>Turns out the show got the Mayor in hot water! Back in February on Tom Tate Tuesday, the Mayor told the show about his dinner at Mar-a-Lago with POTUS. Claims have emerged that the dinner never took place, so the team analyse the audio and give their thoughts on whether the Mayor is in the clear or has a case to answer. Sydney Sweeney’s racy new ad has exploded the internet and Leisel has an opinion about the slight overreaction. The unfortunate Hyrox poo situation is also in the news, with Leisel and Liam giving their 2 cents on the ill timed number 2. Thieving seniors caught red handed
<p>The team give their weekend wins and whinges. Liam and Leisel both have a win & producer George has a whinge. Leisel caught some elderly thieves walking out of Bunnings with a full trolley. Playing the “old and confused” card seems to work for some! Turns out the big fella is a secret colour-inerer! Liam has been tricked this week for Child of the Week, with the kids’ wish for a puppy being suspiciously well justified – it stinks of AI! Leisel is all finished on set and gets feedback from the cast on her performance. It’s crunch time now, with a punishment put in place if he fails, involving Raygun’s famous dance. Australian actor & writer, Luke Cook, joins the team in studio to talk about his move back from LA and give Leisel advice in her “extra” journey. Leisel came across and shocking road spill, with a family car boot sprawled all over the road yesterday. Nothing could never top the Tweed truck spill of 2001 – beer for all! Even for pulling over for 30 seconds on a yellow line to let someone get out of the car! The Mayor is on the show to defend the cars, but most of the Gold Coast aren’t convinced. Leisel had a shocking moment on the weekend when someone came to inspect the car she has for sale. They went for a test drive and were going over the speed limit through a speed trap. Surf Reporter Reggie’s horror surfing scare & gratitude for first responders
<p>Producer George has written something in the notes on his phone, in his sleep… It is pretty abstract! The team unpack it. Surf Reporter Reg Presad was found face down in the water after a cardiac episode in the surf. Lifeguards worked on him for 40 minutes before bringing him back. He is in studio to reflect on the experience, thank the lifeguards, paramedics and hospital staff, as well as to share a message about the importance of first aid training. Liam has been researching the careers of Leisel and Spida by the numbers (the broadcast viewing numbers). They are surprising! Some of them at least… It’s the 35th anniversary of the Wiggles, a love-hate relationship like no other band. Finally, the song has been selected for the GC Phonetic Alphabet song. Leisel Likes the One Euro Dream Instagram of the Aussie mates that bought a dilapidated house in Sicily, under the conditions that they have to renovate it. She could use them around her house, to finish off the reno’s. Finally, Liam goes full sad-dad mode when wishing his daughter a happy 10th birthday. 10 years of “dad-ing” all comes together in a very emotional (blubbery) tribute to his little girl. <p>Spida’s favourite month of the year is September & this year Gold Coast was promising a big one. He cancelled all of his plans, only to be left disappointed, lonely and bored, as both Gold Coast teams bow out of their competitions. He also got bailed up yesterday at the post office about the “mile high club” chat on yesterday’s show. An older lady was yelling at him across the post office about her experiences as a member of the “club.” Spida was squirming & then she calls in to chat more! Liam heard about a fantastic holiday disaster involving orcas and crying children. The kind of memories that stay with kids for a lifetime! Finally, Leisel is ready to make her official ruling on EV’s after having hers for a couple of months. <p>The team is back and ready to shake up the Light Rail. They have decided that the existing voice over needs a revamp & put forward their audition tapes. Liam takes the role very seriously, Spida struggles with the speaking part, and Leisel goes totally rogue. After Brett the Hostie’s Mile High admission, another former flight attendant calls in to talk about times she caught people in the act, in the sky! Leisel throws down the gauntlet with a strong accusation about the new office neighbours. Apparently, the ladies’ toilet has noticeably more skiddies since the new tenants moved in & Leisel is sick of playing cleaner. Finally, Spida moved a fridge as a favour, thinking it was a 15-minute job. 5 hours later he was still slaving away. Liam also has a flash new car, but it’s made him realise something about his father that is troubling him. <p>Last day of the show for 3 weeks! Big plans for the holidays, but not before a big day on the show. Leisel has always dreamed of being on A Current Affair and thinks something has finally happened to her that might make the cut! ACA reporter Maggie Raworth joins the show, to give Leisel her professional opinion about Leisel’s pitch. The World Cup is getting close to its climax, with Argentina and Spain in the big dance. One of the truly amazing stories is a 20-year-old photo of Lionel Messi and baby Lamine Yamal, who are now facing off in the game! Messi as the 39 y/o veteran, arguably the greatest ever, up against the 19y/o Spanish sensation. Liam breaks down the chances of all those things lining up and it’s truly astonishing! The GC Phonetic Alphabet has been getting more love and the “W” spot has been especially popular for a new Gold Coast business – the Wee Nibble Café in Nerang! Liam’s son Mack is back to school today, but his parents forgot about some holiday homework that made for a mad last-minute cram. Leisel had a bad experience with the NATO phonetic alphabet, having to wing it over the phone - she thought she had it covered after all her practice in the $1000 Minute, then turned to water under pressure! Spida is in a new hydrid car and the charging situation is not agreeing with him. He needs advice + the show gets very personal when George gets accused of buying sourdough to fulfill his show bet. It could be seen as an attack on his honour unless he really is a sneaky liar? One bloke even scores an invite after telling the story of how he accidentally burned the top story of a pub down...Gold Coast 3-code sporting superstar Teagan Levi is in studio before the Titans NRLW season kicks off this weekend. A true Gold Coast product, Teagan was drafted to the Suns AFLW team, played Rugby 7's for Australia at the Olympics & now is taking to the NRLW competition. Why not?!
